3/24/2020 New COVID-19 Updates
/Command Center
The command center has been working hard to ramp up testing capabilities. We have 1,159 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in the Commonwealth. 94 hospitalizations and 11 deaths as of March 24th.
Almost 9,000 people have been tested in MA in comparison to 6,000 on Sunday, March 22nd.
Yesterday morning, the Department of Public Health (DPH) made 89 deliveries of strategic national stockpile assets to health care facilities across the Commonwealth.
Over 750,000 masks, face shields, gowns, and pairs of gloves have been delivered to DPH and are now being distributed.
If you are showing symptoms please stay home and contact your medical provider first. Please remember that telehealth services, phone calls and video chats with a trusted provider is a great and accessible benefit in MA.
New COVID-19 Text Messaging Tool
The Commonwealth has a new text-based notification system to deliver important information about the state’s response to COVID-19 and its impact on Massachusetts residents.
This new notification system is called “AlertsMA” and residents can subscribe for real-time notifications by texting “COVIDMA” to 888-777. Once you sign up, you will receive real-time, short messages and links to information from state and public health officials on your mobile device.
